Ingredients
- 1 Apple (cored)
- Additional Dried Fruits (raisins, goji berries, dried apricots, prunes, etc.)
- 2 whole Cloves
- 4 whole White Cardamom Pods (or 1/4 t fresh ground cardamom)
- 1/2 t Fennel Seed (whole or ground)
- 1 cup Water
- 1 t Ghee

Instructions
- Dice apples and combine with spices in a small saucepan with water.
- Cook on medium until apples are tender about 10 min. Serve and enjoy!

Variations:
Other healthy and hearty modifications include combining with ½ cup quinoa or other precooked grain, blanched almonds, spiced milk, etc.
For Kapha- Add a few cracks of pepper and/or dried apricots
For Pitta- Add 2-3 Tbs rolled oats, and/or raisins
For Vata- Peel apples first
